2020 has been tough. We lost a legend and true American Hero with the passing of Chuck Yeager. I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to meet and visit with Mr. Yeager on several occasions at the Shot Show. Chuck was a good friend and hunted with another good friend of mine, Jim Zumbo. Jim introduced me to Chuck back in the early 90's and we would get together at several of the Shot Shows through the early 2000's. Though he was in his 70's, Chuck was full of energy and sharp as a tack. He was one of the most confident men I have ever met. God rest his soul. Adios, Gary

Yep. Anyone that will climb on a jet fuel tank, drop from an airplane and go as fast as they can when several others had died recently trying to do the same thing has a pair the size of grapefruit in my opinion. True American icon. I miss Jim Zumbo as well. One unfortunate statement in this day and time can get you cancelled. Not all cancellations are from the left.

Chuck Yeager was always cooler than John Glenn.

I read his book a very long time ago, couldn't put it down. He was a warrior, and an aviator. The time he ejected, got hit by debris and caught on fire as he fell to earth and lived through it tells you everything you need to know about how cool under pressure he and those somewhat like him had to be. I would have liked to have met him.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.
