Squeezing in a little trip to Branson between Christmas and New Years. Any good things to see or places to stay?

We took the kids to the Dolly Parton show and a magic show. It was fun.

Did this 5 years ago with kids, lot of fun. The ducks on Tablerock lake were too but we all know what happened with those 3+ years ago in that storm. The zip line across the MO river near the downtown Bass Pro was something different. Silvercity amusement park was a lot of fun too. You may need to check as to what Covid restrictions may be in place or not; could see where the DixieStampede could be impacted as probably 2-3 thousand were at the show. Lastly the Tablerock fish hatchery is a cool tour and the museum on it too. Good golf courses up there as well.

Last time we went was about 10 years ago. Went to a cave it was just okay, wife, MIL and kids which were 10 & 12 at the time did the Titanic and loved it, each person takes on the identities of one of the people that was actually on the ship when it sank , wife still raves about it. Kids & FIL did the steamboat ride on the lake and enjoyed it.

Silver Dollar City has some of the best roller coasters of any amusement park I have ever been to. 10X better than a 6 Flags type place.

We went a couple of months ago. Highly recommend "Noah" at the Sight and Sound theater. There's a greek restruant in old down town Branson that is very good. Went to SDC last year at Christmas. Not worth standing in lines, but probably not as crowded this yr. Most all businesses and shows socially distancing.

Why wife, 2 year old, and I just got back from a week stay in a cabin in Eureka Springs AR. It's right across the border from MO, and I think pretty close to Branson. Probably 80% of the businesses on main street were closed, many with signs saying they were not opening again until Feb 2021. Most all the outside attractions were still open though. We went to a couple of caves and did a bunch of wild life stuff. We went across the border into MO and did the promise land safari tour. You stay in your own vehicle and drive through a huge ranch with a big variety of animals. They give you a bucket of food you can feed them. My son loved it. Probably the highlight of the trip.

Sight and Sound is AWESOME!!!! It is definitely a "must see"... Don't know what they're showing right now, but you can bet it will be great! We have been to Branson twice and that is really the only thing that I want to do...my wife and girls liked the Dixie Stampede and we all enjoyed the Baldknobbers (the 2 old guys are hilarious) and they've got some good singing.

My brother lived there several years. The trout fishing was great. We did guided and unguided trips.

Yes, the Japanese gent that was inspired to get into country music by listening to music and watching old videos of Elvis of all people. I understand he's very good from my Mom and Dad whom saw his show about 12 years ago or so...

In laws wanted to take the grandkids to Silver Dollar City. In December. An outside amusement park.

It was freezing and miserable (because my wife and I don’t have kids and I hate amusement parks). That’s the only time I’ve been to Branson.

Not much to choose from during that time frame. Weather will influence the "comfort factor" but just come prepared.

Silver Dollar City is a must do experience that gives you a lot to do in one spot.

Sight and Sound has a great production, well worth it but show selections are tight.

Again choices will be limited, check out Trip Advisor, Branson forum and research individual websites

We went in the same time frame a few years back and there was hardly anything open. We spent most of our time at Silver Dollar City.

some people like silver and gold
I like brass and lead with a little powder in between
