Need a little help aging this guy. He’s got a 3.5 year old body and 6 year old face! Having a hard time with aging him

If you let a deer like that walk would he have the potentiometer to be a ten next year? He look like he’s pushing up 9th and 10th point.

Rambler, you can never tell but one thing is sure and that is he likely has the potential to get bigger even if he doesn't put on any more points.


This was a deer that I shot last year (2019) when he was 4.5 years old the year before. He had also been a slick 8 point with no signs of anything else the previous 2 years at 2.5 and 3.5.

This is him at 5.5 when I killed him. He added a pretty good G4 to one side, a fork on one of his G2s, and a kicker on the other. I had the shed from the year before and he was 138 or so at 4 years old. His 8 point frame gained almost 9" from 4.5 to 5.5 and the 3 additional points he put on added another 12.5".
