As the title says, I was out this afternoon trying to get a legal buck to wander by my feeder and the only thing that showed up was this big (200-220 lb) boar. I was watching a few squirrels feasting on the corn that had recently been scattered by the spinner plate when they scattered. I watched one run about 50 yds non-stop and wondered what got him so upset. When I looked back at the feeder a huge lone boar was making his approach the the area. While getting my rifle set up on the window sill, my sling swivel made a little tinkling sound that what was almost imperceptible, except to the boar. He froze and i could tell by his body language that he wasn't going to hang around long, so I got on him and as he was making an exit from the area, he paused once for a second too long. A single Nosler Accubond 125 gr from a Tac 30 made him lay down for a nap.
