I have one of these and love it. I retired all of my other watches and wear this one daily now for 3 years. It will even change tires for you if you have a flat on the interstate...well, maybe not that, but about everything else. Durable as well - stands up to my abuse anyway.

I have a different model Citizen which happens to be my fave of the herd. It automatically sets the correct time from a radio transmission from an Atomic clock, has a solar cell that charges the battery from sunlight, and just looks good. When I take it out of the drawer into the light after the battery has run down, as soon as the light hits the face of the watch the hands and calendar whirl around to the correct time and date.

Citizen makes high quality, beautiful time pieces that are a heck of a value. This coming from someone with a substantial watch collection including a 1964 Solid Gold Rolex Daytona with an original Gold & Diamond bezel.

Thanks to every one for input.

Looks like I'll go with another Luminox in order to get the bright night time visibility that I need.
No other watch, in that price range, seems to be bright enough for me.

I have a buddy I used to teach with at Garland High.
Neither of us is there now.

I teach at a different school now.
He's now running a cigar shop.

He's addicted to watches...ADDICTED!

Right now, he has roughly 190 watches, still in boxes.
He's collected them over the years, and usually wears 3 at a time.

He once told me his top number was 250.

The watches he buys are NOT cheap!

I don't know how he does it because he and his wife are not rich, but he manages!

Addendum: I'll see him later today to get some cigars, and I'll ask him to take a photo of his watch collection! Now I'm curious.

wow. That's a heck of a lot of watches.

I was at Walmart this morning and stopped by the jewelry section, they had a nice selection of Casio and Timex watches that were surprising inexpensive. I picked up a really nice Casio and Timex analogue for less than $20 each. I enjoy a nice, inexpensive functional watch that can be worn with worrying about damage or flying off your wrist. Watches certainly don't have to be expensive to enjoy. The only difference is a well made timepiece from a reputable manufacturer is sure to increase in value. Some have increased substantially.

I've got one of those EcoDrive watches too. Works great but my only complaint is that is a bit thick and heavy. Took me awhile to quit bumping things with it since it sticks out a little farther from my wrist than other watches.

I swap between my gshock mudmaster and iwatch. Both are good the gshock illuminates with a push of a button. The iwatch seems fragile but the features are great

The ecodrive is a little thick but it's far from big. I've got a couple of IWC watches that look like small wall clocks on my wrists. I've got big hands and at first didnt think anything of it but after the third or fourth "OMG thats a GIANT watch!" comment I stopped wearing them. It's been 10+ years ago and I havent worn them since then.

If anyone is interested in nice watches I've been buying/swapping/trading up watches with www.bernardwatch.com for roughly 30 years. They sell used/new/trade-ins for reasonable prices and are reputable to a fault. They're located here in Texas and know watches, you don't have to worry about getting burned or overpaying.

Correction, those big azzz watches I mentioned are made by U-Boat, not IWC.

They're enormous. Think of the clock Flavor-flav wears. But on your wrist. (yea, I don't know what I was thinking when I bought'em)

I hate oversized watches, so I had to look them up. They’re outrageous, especially the dials. It’s too bad, because they do have some great looking watches.

I like the Omega Seamasters. The thinner ones (aqua-terra)not the chonky ones. They glow, but it's not super bright like you may be looking for.

Don't actually use mine much. I simply like having it there like an old bird dog.

I don't know how other watch retail store inventories are faring right now but I walked in one of the largest Rolex dealers in Dallas this past week and they were empty. I think I saw 3 watches in the whole store.
