I wanted to wait to see what everyone thought of the other South Texas buck I posted. This guy is probably a little easier to judge his age. Taken a couple days ago. Was just starting to chase some does. Your thoughts on age? ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2020/12/full-39941-268037-cbc04711_fb25_4180_b17b_10175791717f.jpeg)

Body says 4.5-5.5 but horns aren't heavy like you'd expect from that age of deer.

Hard to say.... real pretty... maybe 3.5 This one confuses me. Not mark on him anywhere. He could be older

I would think a supremely well conditioned 4 1/2. There is some sway in his back and if his neck delved more into his brisket, I would say older. Just can't quite get there.
Show me a photo in a couple of weeks. If staining down his legs, he will prove to be older.

Tough call. Every deer I've seen(South of Bowie), has a body like that. Unusual year.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.
Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley, Rancher Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!
