I don't have any good pictures of ours.

Its 10x10 concrete slab with a 2-7/8's pipe upright post on two opposite sides with a cross pipe on top with a pulley in the middle and a winch and cable. We do have water run to it with a hose bib and a shower head... it is referred to as the wilderness shower lol

If you pour a concrete pad, make sure it drains in the direction you want (e.g. ours drains to the backside away from camp).

You don't want to see ours....... its very primitive. Basically an erector set with a come along bolted to a slab of limestone.

We have an a-frame of pipe stem with two hand winches setup. It's wide enough that you can back a SxS or truck up under it for loading. No slab, no water. Stainless table behind and to the side for small work. Good enough for us

Ill second that. Ours doesn't drain for crud, was poured by a couple gringos that were tired of moving sackcrete lol it has high spots and low spots and looks like feral hogs smoothed and leveled the top lol. I've never been fond or for proud of anything I've done with concrete, but it serves its purpose!

I dug a hole 3' deep and put a split telephone post in and concreted it in. Mounted a hand winch on it, chained a pully to a large branch of a tree and ran the cable for the winch through it and added the gambrel. We winch it up a bit tie the fur off to a cable tied to the truck and drive off. No hair on the meat.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Built this all out of treated lumber. We can hang two deer at a time. It's over 10 years old, and it's still as good as new.

If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

I made my skinning rack tall so I don’t have to bend just crank the winch to raise n lower where needed
I concreted drill stem in the ground and have double winches I haven’t poured the slab for it yet but it’s in the plans
Being a senior with a bad back the tall rack is a godsend

This is exactly what we have, except the slab is a little smaller.

Mine is a John Deere 5210 tractor with a front end loader. Have a hook welded on the bucket, use it to lift. When finished cleaning, load the carcass and use tractor to dig hole and bury. Drive it too water hose and rinse it all out. I guess you could say I have a mobile cleaning station.

Questions - Is this something for this year or a lil' more permanent? Do you want to be able to clean more than one animal at a time? Is a smaller concrete pad out of the question?

Dude, that's awesome there. Some of the components may be just a little light, but the frame is awesome.

Here is ours we built this summer. A bit overkill with the 6" pipe lol. Slab is slanted slightly back for drainage. Have a 1 ton electric hoist and a manual winch.

My skinning place is pretty simple. It’s under an open roofed area attached to the barn. The ‘floor’ is a concrete slab where I usually have the Kubota SXS parked. I have water, lights, and music. [Linked Image]
And, of course, that’s me (standing, not hanging).

We have lights, a winch, gravel floor, water, and a gut bucket. Made from treated 4x4. The battery that you see runs the winch. [Linked Image]

Something more permanent for sure. A small pad is not out of the question, would be preferred in my mind. Prefer a roof and lighting. Electric winch would be ideal, something like dennyo has but maybe not so big.

What height do you all have the top of your winches at? I currrntly use a hitch based winch and its about 7 feet tall and i know i need it higher than that.

Ours is at 10 feet or so and it’s perfect

I have a 2000 lb rolling electric chain hoist on an I-beam that we use, it comes in handy for lifting critters out of the bed of the truck and rolling it to where you want to clean it with very little effort. It really all depends on how much your wanting to invest in something but whatever you decide I’d definitely have a chain hoist figured into the build. They sure save your back and one man can do whatever is needed.
