Ginger is my new hound dog. She's a rescue. She rescued me a few months ago.
The lady who found her couldn't keep her because she plucked the feathers off her chickens.
I don't have chickens so I figured it would work out.

A couple of people have told me she is a Mountain Cur or even a Tennessee Treeing Brindle.
Never heard of either one of those breeds.
Considering she is a rescue, her pedigree may just be by Truck out of Midway.

Don't have a fenced in yard. Live in the country. Bought her a tracking collar. https://tryfi.com/
Don't know anything about tracking collars but for 28 cents a day, it's fun seeing where she goes.
That girl covers a lot of ground.

In case anyone is wondering, I have no connection with tryFi.com other than being a satisfied customer.
It's surprising to me that no one has commented on this subject.
Yes, I have one. Or, you should have gotten a Garmin. Or, don't let your dog run loose like that.

Anyone? Anyone?

I've never tried them.
My yard is fenced, and I use a Garmin in the field.

Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden.
Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Do you have a picture of her? We had a stray show up at our house and never leave, so we adopted her. We did a DNA test and she came back 100% Mountain Cur. We have had her for one year now, and she is no doubt one of the best dogs i have ever had.

We live out in the woods, and are surrounded by a few large timber tracts. She loves to explore, and sometimes she doesnt like to come home when we call her. I have been looking at GPS collars, but they have been pretty expensive. Thanks for posting this one, i will check it out!

Thank you for asking but I have been able to keep track of her with the Fi tracking collar.
Even went out and intercepted her and her running mate a few times and drove them home.
I guess that makes me a Dog Uber. She stays much closer to home now.
