Same here. Great success with them from hogs, yotes, and deer.

People need ammo. I'm going to make some.

Worked on load testing 7mm-08 and 154 gr SST yesterday for the same reason. Not a bullet I will use, but other people do, and I have quite a few.

How did the 154 SST load work out? I just picked up 100 pieces of Lapua brass and 100 of those, going to try to work up a load. Also picked up a few 139 SST. Looking for a good load to pig/deer hunt with. Trying a 9 twist T/C Encore.

Ladder tested it at 300 yards. Only shot one group, right before dark. It was 2" at 300 yards. Going to try another charge or two. I have not, and probably will not, exceed published max. Just to be damn sure it is safe ammo. Hornady and Sierra bullets are typically easy to make shoot, and do a good job on animals.

Currently shooting a 95 grain ballistic tip with IMR4350 pushing it 2996FPS. It has done the job on a few pigs, yote and big body buck this year. Had the gun almost 20 years and have used 100 grain partition, and the 100 grain Hornady whitetail. All have performed great but I liked the partitions the most. Could not find any last year to load so I went with the BT since they were on clearance.

85 grain Sierra Gamekings over 40 grains of H-4350 is as good a combo for 243 you can find IMO. I carry a DPMS LR 243 daily and kill several pigs a week with that combination no issues. My nephew shot a doe at 125 yards last weekend blew through both shoulders she dropped where she stood.

LOL. I've never roped a deer, but I have cut a few deer's throats.

I like that bullet too, loaded quite a few with a stiff charge of 45.0 of H4350. Good all around load for slow twist rifles.

There is some truth to this. I used them long before I loaded my kid's guns with them.

100 SGK for deer
87 VMAX for coyotes (Which incidentally work pretty good on deer and pigs as well.)
