How do they compare at night?
I know the wraith is obviously better during the day. I currently have a photon rt 4.6 but thinking about getting the Wraith 2-16. Mostly because of the color day time view but dont want to lose quality at night. This will mainly be used for night hunting

I've had both. The Wraith is noticeably better at night than the Photon- especially with an add-on illuminator. When my thermal was in the shop I killed 6 or so hogs with my Wraith, most at round 200 yards.

I am not familiar with the Wraith but a few things I have learned with the RT4.6S to make clearer sight picture / video. Punchout the hole on the front lens cover and keep it closed, buy a better external IR light that is focusable and more powerful, move the IR light onto the front of the barrel as opposed to mounting on the scope! Try this if you haven't already. As for the Wraith, brother-in law bought one and will report back to me. He was super impressed with my Photon set up and got the Academy Deal on Black Friday. Good reviews on the Wraith.....supposed to be clearer and have great daytime color.

I've had both and my Wraith is quite a bit better at night than my Photon RT 4.5. I knew the Wraith would be better in the daylight as the Photon is not good at all in the day but didn't expect it to be much better at night. I was surprised at how much better it is at night. The Wraith doesn't have all the features of the Photon such as wifi, Stream Vision, audio recording but I didn't use those anyway. I have since sold my Photon RT and when my two hunting buddies used my Wraith they sold their Photons and bought Wraiths. IMO, the biggest downside of the Wraith is the weight, its a brick.

I should also mention the field of view on the Wraith 4-32x50 is pretty small, smaller than the Photon. I think the low power is more like 6-8X not 4X. It can be a bit challenging at close range.

They make a new one now that's got wider field of view with lower power. 2-16x28. https://outdoorlegacygear.com/colle...vision-riflescope?variant=32422289735754I have two of the 4-32's. I'd like to have one of each.
