Working on the kids house still. Got a lot done, and worked about 10 straight hours. DIL stayed busy upstairs all day. Crock pot chili, meat, pinto and black beans, tomatoes and tomato sauce, Texas sweet onion and orange bell pepper. Even corn!!! She made cornbread and yeast rolls, with sweet cream butter. Real graded cheddar and some hot purple onions. I hardly ever go back for seconds, and never this much. It was amazing!!! I think I got the better deal!!!

Looks great!! Love the red onions.
Glad to see you used the "Real Grated Cheese' instead of the store grated stuff. Can`t believe some retired people on here(with plenty of time) use that stuff when the the cheese you grate at home is so much better. (not naming names)
I`m gonna pretend I didn`t read the part about corn in the beans. That`s a first for me. Hope its the last . LOL

Yeah, the corn was a new one for me too, in any kind of beans or chili dish. But, and I say but, it was actually OK and that’s the way she did it. Never can turn down free food.

I'm sure the corn added a nice touch to your chili ! I love to add hominy to mine occasionally as it adds some good flavor. Years ago I worked at a boy's school in New Mexico and the cafeteria there made chili often....with hominy in it.

People put all sorts of vegetables and things in chili that are actually pretty good, but that dish is called "Goulash". Which is actually pretty good to.

If your going to be that specific on the definition of chili then you gotta treat goulash the same. Ive never had goulash that didnt have squash or pasta in it.
Looks like a fine meal to me. I seldom cook CHILI without beans in it.

Looks like Mexican spaghetti Heaven to me!!!
We reserve Fritos or Tostitos chips for Taco soup. A big scoop of goodness with a little of the cheese, peppers, and some sour cream makes the whole deal!!!
