She's 28, always enjoyed spending time with me in the stand and on hunting trips but never wanted to kill an animal. She raised goats, pigs, heifers, and a big animal lover in general. All grown up and in for the holidays, she wanted to kill a pig. A little refresher on the range and after hitting 1" dots at 100 yards with the Wilson Combat 6.5 Creedmoor and some Hornady Superformance 129 gr., she got it done. Zero remorse. If we had more time we'd still be there shooting some more.

Beautiful daughter. You should be proud.

Good job!

I wish my daughter would hunt with me.

My son can't get enough, but my daughter is a no-go.

Fantastic!

My Daughter has hunted with me since she was 9 years old. Missed a few years while she was in college. She is 34 yrs old and will be home in January, just in time to catch some of the Muzzleloader Season. Can't wait.

Congratulations to yours and hope you get to spend many more outings just like it.

That young lady can SHOOT!!!

Great time for sure with your little girl

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Thanks to all for the compliments. For the first time to pull the trigger on an animal I was surprised at how cool she was behind the scope. We spent about an hour on the range, mostly with a scoped .22 lr. When she was hitting dots at 50, then 75 yards 100%, we moved to the 6.5 at 100. I had her sit as close to me as possible while I shot it twice, just to get as much of a feel for the noise and recoil. That gun shoots fantastic, so I knew all the pieces were in place. After about five shots and getting a 1.5" group I thought she was good to go. (the gun actually shoots 1/2").

We sat one hour, fifteen minutes and it was actually her that saw them come out of the creek bottom and hit the corn. I was checking other areas. She shouldered the gun, it was about a minute until she could get on the biggest one, I heard her exhale and boom. She hit it right near the ear and if flopped right there. It had been a while since she shot a rifle, like 6, maybe 7 years. I only gave her two keys to focus on while on the range, smooth on the trigger and hold it after the shot, and to stay on the gun after the shot. On the range, she clearly violated both of these twice, and both were misses. She was able to see the effect herself and started hitting the dots each time she focused on these two keys. When they (she's the youngest of three) were young I may have overloaded them with a few too many things to focus on. We had a great time. My wife was along with us to share the moment.
