So, I went up to Scheels with $600 in gift cards to get the Leopold. I walked out with this...

Oh well. LOL. I guess I'm still in the market for a scope.

I've heard good things about them on other forums but I don't recall them every coming up on THF. I've never owned one.

Sportsman’s Outdoor Superstore has a Vortex Razor 3-15 on Black Friday Sale for $655. Excellent glass, very light. I have two and get great performance. Was originally a $1000 scope but has been updated with a new model this year so looks like last year’s model is discounted pretty well.

I know the vortex that I had was a cheap vortex, but vortex is definitely off my list.

I have VX-3 and Fullfield II. The Fullfields are fine but VX-3 has noticeably better glass to my eyes. Bought a Hawke Endurance 2-7 for a 30-30 five years ago. To my eyes the glass was significantly worse than the glass on the Fullfield II 2-7 it was to replace. Sent the Hawke back.

Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

Man the FFII 3-9x40 is one of my favorite hunting scopes, I would have gave you $100. for it
