Can't wait.

We’d take two handfuls of dried chili petines and grind them up. Mix with forty pounds of venison and stuff into casings. With no real fat it dries real hard. Called it jerky sausage and boy was it good with a cold malt beverage. I need to make some again.

I’m about to make some myself. I love dried sausage & cold beer!

on the spice/ baking aisle.

Most carry Chile Pequins which are common in stores, but not Chile Tepins.

The Tepin is a member of the Pequin family, but they are different peppers with different flavors.

Humbled here, been saying it wrong my whole life.

If you do find some to pick, do not rub your eyes or relieve yourself without washing your hands first.

Lol, meh. People call them chile pequins, chili petins, chile tepins, chiltepines, bird peppers, or chile de monte in the valley. It’s all good. cheers
