What do you do with yours. We had ours last night (early) due to, to many place for everyone/kids to be at on the traditional day. As usual we had lots left over and the fridge was full. I really do not care to eat on the leftovers for days on end so I decided to vacuum seal all that I could or put in freezer bags. We will have ham sandwiches a couple of nights and then I will bone out the rest of the ham for beans and vacuum seal it .Things I vacuum sealed for freezer; dressing, 2pkg ; black eyed peas, 2pkg ; sweet corn, 1pkg ; 1/2 pecan pie. Left overs that were thrown out were; mashed potatoes, broccoli casserole, no turkey this year or I would have thrown it out. In the past we just ate a little of the leftovers and then just chunked them in the trash.

I make sure we make as little as possible so what wo do take to Thanksgiving can be left with the host or we aren't having to take much home.

I love leftovers so we don't toss it unless its spoiled. Plus for the majority of my life I would have had my but whooped for wasting food.

Stuff that freezes well I will freeze, most of it gets divided into tupoware dishes and i take it to work for lunch. I'm a simple person I can eat the same thing day in and day out and be pleased as punch. Usually about the time you start wonder if the tureky is any good still i will make a pot of turkey stew/soup/pot pie etc.

Leftovers are the best part. We're only 2 this year so I'm just cooking a turkey breast and a couple of drums.

Only cook the boneless breast. Boil the bones to make my stock, pick them, throw them in the pond. Used the cooked meat for hot and sour soup. Freeze the deboned dark meat and later make gumbo with it.

Mashed potatoes would be one of the last things I throw out. Besides as a leftover i make potato patties with. them. I never get tired of those.

Kids are all out of town, and mother in law is locked down at the senior center. We were gonna do steak and taters, but friends invited us for home made Mac and Cheese and spiral cut roast ham. That sounded better, and we will get go bags to boot!!!
