Duck hunting road trip with my brother-in-law to a heavily pressured public marsh. First hunt was a two man limit. 10 grey ducks, two green wing teal.
Second hunt was on my 60th birthday. We scratched two limits of grey ducks and were picked up by 8:30. Both hunts the birds worked well and we had cupped up in your face action with no shot at birds leaving. On the second flight of the morning I quadrupled. As I mounted I saw two birds line up in the back of the flight with one slightly above the other. I laid off the candy birds and scotch doubled. Went back to the candy birds and followed up with two singles with each of my remaining two shots. Ended up with a six bird limit in five shots on my 60th birthday. Brother in law is also 60. It was a stellar hunt with quality ducks and the old guys were dealing in the marsh... 60 is just a number.
My apologies for the lacking picture quality. Screenshots to kill the geolocation seem to degrade the detail.
