Yesterday evening's plan involved ambushing a big sounder of hogs when they came in after dark and raining death and destruction down on them. Turns out they didn't come in 'til after midnight and I wasn't mad enough at 'em to wait that long...so I reckon I'll catch 'em tonight. The evening wasn't a total loss as I got to watch this fella for 20-30 minutes. I've watched him for the last couple of months and he's run himself pretty ragged; he's hollow-flanked and probably has a blister on his business...but the rut has slowed WAY down here so he'll get a breather for a couple of weeks. He's got a good start; let's see if he makes it another year or so. Mark
