Are Bump Stocks Still Alive? Feds Drop Charges Because They Couldn’t Prove Devices are Machine Guns A bump stock case in Houston is making waves in the pro-gun community after federal prosecutors dropped bump stock-related charges against a man because “the government couldn’t prove beyond a reasonable doubt the bump stock was a machine gun,” according to the Houston Chronicle.
“The stock has no automatically functioning mechanical parts or springs and performs no automatic mechanical function when installed,” they wrote.
“In order to use the installed device, the shooter must apply constant forward pressure with the non-shooting hand and constant rearward pressure with the shooting hand,” the agency continued. “Accordingly we find that the ‘bump-stock’ is a firearm part and is not regulated as a firearm under the Gun Control Act or the National Firearms Act.” link to article[url=https://www.gunsamerica.com/digest/are-bump-stocks-still-alive-feds-drop-charges-because-they-couldnt-prove-devices-are-machine-guns/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=20201120_FridayDigest_305&utm_campaign=/digest/are-bump-stocks-still-alive-feds-drop-charges-because-they-couldnt-prove-devices-are-machine-guns/][/url]

Still after the guns rather than the criminals. It’s what democraps do....criminals are their base. Police and armed citizens stand in their way.

The Democracy thing gets me. If you read the Federalist papers the founding fathers figured our public officials had to be chosen by a popular vote but there were qualifications on who got to vote. They did NOT believe in Democracy except Thomas Jefferson. The first pat of the constitution spoke of who was qualified to be an elector. Should someone who has never paid any income tax, never served in the military, doesn't know how to read and write have a say in who should serve in public office? Isn't Democracy of that sort one step above Mob-ocracy? I think you should have paid taxes within the last three years, know how to read and write and be able to tell who your present senators, congressman, and state reps are- otherwise- what are you doing casting a ballot?

I think a mandatory civics course and a high min. grade might be a viable option so people at least understand how or system works. too many now think socialism is a good replacement for what we have, guess where that thought comes from. national voter id law would be another thing I would like to see, can't get on a plane without an id but you can decide the fate or our nation without one?
