It actually sounds edible at the moment. I have, a time or two, had good fruitcake. By Christmas, maybe this weird food desire will pass.

We get a couple fruitcakes from Gladys' Fruitcakes in Weimer every year. They're great. No raisins.

Never been a fan of fruitcake.

I like the Collin Street ones .
Haven't had homemade since I was a kid .
That whiskey soaking has never appealed to me .

I won a fruitcake by default last year. It was fine.

Had a great aunt....old German lady that couldn’t speak English. She made fruitcakes that were excellent. She also used a lot of liquor in em so....

I love Collin Street Bakery Pineapple & Pecan fruitcake. Sliced thin with a cup of hot coffee, dipping a thin slice of cake in the coffee is fine eating when you're hungry for something sweet.

That reminds me, Blueberry Donuts are damn good dippers with hot coffee too.

My aunt makes them. She soaks a towel in rum and then wraps the fruit cake in the towel for a while. Her's are good and I've had a few others that were also but some are terrible
