Last weekend bucks still together. Just curious what everyone else is seeing.

Next to you in Cooke, close to Roston. Bucks are rutting. Opening weekend my friend shot a 6 1/2+ year old buck who smelled like rut like I have never experienced. Bucks are cruising and feeders are not being hit. I think the rut is a little off this year with the warm weather but the bucks are ready from what we have seen.

Based on camera it was on past 2 weeks. Then tonight none of us saw anything. Not even a doe. Crazy. Had a big boy show up 11/9 and not show up again so its been on. Had 12+ different bucks hit me while gone.

Last weekend, we got 2 nice bucks off my place South of Bowie. Both in the 130's. One was sniffing a trail with its nose to the ground. Another had a tip broken off of an antler.

Today, a hunter watched a nice buck thrashing up some branches on an oak.

I figure it's on.

South of you it is on. I've been watching bucks chasing almost ever sit for the last 3 weeks. Hasn't slowed down much at all. Montague is probably the same. I should add, the only time it has slowed is when the temps got up in the 80s. I figure they were doing their thing after dark. Morning hunts have been the most productive.

Watching my cameras in Wise this morning it’s still on a bit. Have had 5 different bucks at a feeder running does since daylight. 3 of those bucks I’ve never seen before and run cameras year round.

Unfortunately nothing that makes me want to get in the truck and drive out there.
