OP rogerh Tracker R Joined: Apr 2013 Posts: 698 Lampasas/ Schleicher Co	It's time for a new vacuum sealer. What are some of the better ones out there. I've been at the food saver from academy because it seems to have pretty good reviews.

Food Savers are good for small batches of meat and soft stuff, but I had to upgrade to the Weston when it kept overheating bagging batches of sausage. Bagging smoked sausage the Food Saver also didn’t do a very good job of getting all of the air out. Speaking of which, I have 100 lbs of deer sausage in the smokehouse now that I’ll be bagging up with the Weston in the morning. I want a chamber sealer.
