I am North of Dallas and I have been in a serious mood for wings. Anybody know some good spots?

Bowie has a Golden Chik. Best fast food chicken out there. I think it’s brined in garlic salt. Dang it’s good!

The sauces at Pluckers are good. But man, the size of the wings just gross me out. Some of the drumettes are the size of legs.

When I go I tell them I want all flats and to fry them longer.

I used to have a video of one of my girls eating 'Fire in the Hole'. I'll have to find it. Boy was that funny!

Everybody has already covered my opinions, but just to reiterate:

Pluckers, best wings hands down, imo.

Golden chick, best fast food chicken, if you're looking for tenders, etc.

Wingbucket is good. They serve whole wings and they have some great sides.

Pluckers had an hour wait so I went to Wingbucket instead and it was good. Thank you for recommending me.

Those are really good. The best ones were at Up N Smoke BBQ in Keller but of course they closed down several years ago. I dont care much for the places that serve the gigantic wings. Typically the smaller the wings, the crispier.

Jack N Grill is my current favorite and I am a wing fanatic. IMO I can make better wings at my house with an air fryer than Wingstop, but their Blue Cheese is da bomb.

Just my .02,

aint no such thing. its either boneless wings, (never seen a wing from a bird that didnt have a bone in it) or what they call wings and its a little bitty wing cut in half with a little bitty leg lookin part and the grissel part of the wing. then they charge $$$$$ for the plate or basket. i guess that seasoning is expensive? maybe if they cut the salt content it wouldnt be?

I ate at Plucker's once and it sucked.....like the frozen chicken strips my wife buys at Sam's were better. Could have just been a bad day, no idea. But I've never found a decent restaurant that makes ones as good as I can on the Big Green Egg or any grill really.

After seeing the mentions of Jack N Grill in this thread, I decided to give them a try. I've been to Roanoke a lot and was familiar with this place but have never been there. Those smoked wings had a really nice flavor and a good cook on them. I had them in a traditional buffalo sauce and they were really good but I think there's probably more complimentary flavors for that style of wing. The chipotle bbq sounds really good. I'll definitely be back to try some different flavors and other stuff on the menu that sounded good.
