Opinions? Good? Bad? How are the built in solar panel ones?
Need to get a specific Verizon or att one or is it built in spy link that will connect?

I have the SPYPOINT Link Micro LTE which is the Verizon version. It’s been working great!
It’s easy to set up. My cellular signal fluctuates between 50-100% depending on time of day and weather conditions. The camera has worked flawlessly. I use the Energizer Lithium batteries that are still at 99% after a month of use as a security camera.
During that time it took 200+ photos and was pleasantly surprised with the sharpness and clarity of the daytime photos.
The night photos are not nearly as clear but are as good as most of my non cellular trail cameras. (Primos and Bushnell)
My 30 free unlimited photo triai just ended and I bought the 1000 photo a month subscription for a yearly cost of $84.00. The unlimited subscription would cost $120.00 per year which you can upgrade to anytime at a prorated cost.
I would at this point definitely recommend the camera.

I am glad Pappy had luck with his camera because most people have bad luck with it. I had one and put it in my backyard
and saw wildlife such as deer and turkey at my feeder and the camera did not take pictures half the time. The detection
circuits are weak and terrible. The customer service is just about non-existent as I tried to work with them to determine the
problems on their cameras. I had to send it back and the new one that came was just as bad. There are a lot of threads on this forum that
describe a lot of problems guys have had with this camera so you can investigate what others think. I would not recommend this camera.
There are better cameras for the same price with better customer service. Just another perspective.

I have had one for a year now. I liked it better before they sent an update to the phone data. I would rate it fair, but can't expect much for 120 bucks.

We've got the same ones as Pappybear and so far they've been a PITA, I wouldn't buy another. No matter how much we update them or reset them they just go through phases were they won't take pictures and then they'll randomly start up again. I've even had the kids run around in front of them to get it to take a pic to test and no go.

We've had terrible luck with them at our lease, bought two and they've been finicky, require constant bios updates and chew through batteries like they're going out of fashion. Great concept but the execution has been lacking, we'll have to see what next gen stuff looks like but we are back to the old school cameras and SD cards for now.

Glad some folks are having some success with their SPYPOINT. Like others, mine is mediocre. Clarity is subpar, but it is their cheapest model.

I have a browning cell cam that I’ve been extremely pleased with. Haven’t had any issues at all, great clarity. $200 for it but it’s been a much needed upgrade from the SPYPOINT.

Have two Micro LTE. One stopped working after a month and had to do a firmware upgrade. Works fine now but will go through a 12V battery in two weeks sending pics 6 times a day. Won't run off AAs at all.
The other one ran for about two weeks and now it won't sink with the app and won't communicate at all. Customer service is less than helpful.

Been fiddlefarting with a link-s for a couple weeks now, and it still won't take night time pics. Customer service blows goats. The reviews are horrible, and they can't put a post on their Facebook page without getting blown up by negative replies, that they then delete.

Seems they have about a 60-70% DOA rate out of the box, a number that goes up to near 100 within a year. Any problems, they will not refund your money, only make you pay return shipping for them to send you another POS. When they tell you the hold time for customer service is 6 minutes, go ahead and throw a lasagne in the oven, you'll have time to eat.

Ive had a micro for about a year and a half and a link evo for close to 3 years.

They seem to work great thru spring and summer but as soon as season roles around spypoint starts sending their over air updates which tends to not load properly and ends up shutting cameras down, why they send it over air and not just a notification to the app that one is available is beyond me. Since season has started this year they have already had 2 updates, you guessed it my cameras stopped working yesterday. Also since we are on the subject of firmware updates until a few months ago all you needed to update your firmware was a cell phone, a card reader and of course the sd card, but one of their last updates took that ability away so now you have to use either a desktop or laptop.

Their customer service is terrible as stated above, they could save alot of time and money if they just pre recorded their answers and played them when you call, " turn off camera, remove batteries, sd card, and sim card. let set for 5 mins, replace everything and turn back on", " change a setting on the app and give it 24 hrs", " let me change a setting from the company side and give it 24 hrs".

We run ours on 12 volt solar packs and depending on what spypoint is doing seems to effect battery life, if their not messing with updates and what not they last months, but if they are sending out updates and it scrambles the camera and the camera is constantly trying to reboot and search for signal the batteries run down pretty fast.

All that being said ill continue using the ones i have, because thats what i have, and when their working they do their intended job. Will i buy again once these are no longer working, not a chance.
