Some deer are more long and lanky and some are more short and stocky. He seems to be the stubby kind and is probably older but I can see why some say young.

That buck and any other bucks I post pictures of from the big ranch will die of old age, we don't hunt the big ranch except for coyotes and hogs. This place I'm feeding is strictly for feral hogs and so far they've yet to show up before dark, that's why all the deer and javalina pic's.
