Got in the AGM scope today and got it mounted and zeroed on my RRA 6.8. This is one nice unit. I had been wanting a Super Hogster and have been comparing the two. I couldn’t ever find the SH but Jason at Feral Texas found me this unit. I like the 50mm over the SH 35 mm . Another plus is the AGM doesn’t record or have WiFi which I didn’t want. More battery life for hunting. The unit is pretty easy to zero in, was only off 2” to the left at 100 after mounting. Now all I need are some willing participants to try this sucker out on. It also lightened up my rig compared to the ATN Mars4 that was on the gun.

Very interested to hear about this scope over the course of 4-5 hunts - specifically ability to maintain focus during strings of fire and no shut offs.

I di believe this specific AGM model and the Super Hogster are pretty close in comparison dollar for dollar the misleading part about the 50mm on the AGM is due to a 17 micron core it has less native magnification than a 35mm Super Hogster (12 micron).

There is virtually zero online reviews or videos on the AGM so we are looking to you and your dealer to inform us and make us aware how this series of the AGMs do.

My direct experience with an AGM Micro TS50 was not good - totally different design though

Finally got to try out the AGM tonight. Had three boars come in to the feeder, two are dead in the pasture. May have hit the 3rd. I’ll get the dog out in the morning. The Secutor worked like a charm. It stayed focused and no glitches between shots. I’m really impressed with this new scope

It doesn't have a video output of some kind? Without videos, how do we know YOU really killed those hogs? Coulda just drug some carcasses together and laid claim. :-)

I really like the ability to re-live the action and see how bad I shot.

One of the reasons I bought this unit,,, no video. It does have access ports if I want to hook up a video attachment but I won’t. Charlie I guess you are one of those “ if it doesn’t video it didn’t happen” folks. None of my rifle scopes video including my NV unit. Haven’t ever had any question about my kills . Move on

Charlie was just ribbing ya - he wasn’t being for serious .

What is interesting is the stark difference in the number of videos on YouTube for these TS50 versus Hogster or pulsars or atns

Usually a lack of videos isn’t necessarily a good thing BUT that’s why we are going to rely on your relation of operating the scope over the next few months.

I know some of the armasight form factor scopes were solid and some were turds just the same
as some of the aforementioned other brands.

Example

I wouldn’t touch the FLIR thermosight (first models) with a 10’foot pole - horrible auto gain
And image quality - then their second gen stuff came out (PTS) and I think all in all most folks decided the 223 and 746 models were very sketchy but the 536 model was a bit better - different parts here and there can make all the difference.

Anyhow rambling but excited that you killed all those hogs and the scope didn’t do what my first scope with AGM did - here have a look at the footage - yours look better than this ? I’m sure hoping so!

P.S. PRG Defense and AGM share some executives or i guess I should say the execs who know operate AGM used to work with PRG - anyhow the python micro TS50 is the same scope whether it’s PRG or AGM - and hopefully it’s been improved since the time I owned one.

I think if you got a chance to try one of these you would like it. I was hesitant and dropping over 3k on a new toy can be nerve wracking. I really wanted the Super Hogster but this one has always appealed to me and was available. I talked to Jason quite a bit about it since he had tested one of the first Secutors. I see lots of kills with this jewel in the near future.

On the internet, :-) is a smiley face generally meaning laughter, happy, joking, etc. But... without a video, maybe it didn't happen? smile smile smile

So I did have a question in there too... is there no video out on it?
