Well the boy didn’t feel like waiting any longer and took a smaller buck this year. It’s his smallest buck in a few years but I’m still proud of him. He drove himself to the blind, shot the deer, tried to load it himself but then had to come get dad to help. It was his first true solo all the way around harvest, he’s 14 years old and been hunting a while now. I just told him make sure it’s 13” before you shoot.
