I inherited this scope and don't have any use for it. I like the gun it's on but want to get a modern scope to go with it. 15x fixed power. Does anybody have a guesstimate of value or know anything about these scopes? [Linked Image]

There is the very sought after scope that the military, I believe specifically the USMC, listed specification for a 10x scope to be used on the first official bolt action "sniper" rifles issue. They were made my Unertl and they're very expensive for a fixed 10x scope. I imagine this might fetch a pretty penny to the right collector.

Looks like KR is right on about being a collectors item. Quick search shows one sold on Ebay in October for $753

Curious what it was mounted to, you may have a rifle that with that scope far exceeds the value of them separately.

Rare bird! I was curious if it was a 30’06 bull barrel, like older military sniper kinda thing. I’ve seen several of them go for $4,000 plus in the right place.

Yep fortunate to have inherited 8 boxes of ammo with the gun.

Same scope the original poster has a pic of, except ole Carlos removed the recoil spring because it makes noise he would rest the scope by hand so he could do so quietly..
