Does anyone make a camera that you can set to take daylight pics only? I've had 2 feeders torn up and 4 solar chargers ruined by someone. I'm guessing it is the neighbors to my South. I've seen them flying a night vision drone after dark along the fence line. I figure they can see the infrared from camera's with the drone so they know where they are hidden even before they come across the fence. The landowner said he would split the cost on a camera if I can find one that can be set to take pics during daylight only. I have Brownings and they dont offer that option. Anyone got any other suggestions? I'm all ears at this point! This is in Dickens county and I've talked to the GW and there's nothing he can do without some kind of proof. TIA for any kind of input!

That's my $.02. Here's you're change!!

I saw them flying it one night when I was hot hunting and shined my red light at it and it zoomed away. This was before they started tearing up my stuff though.

We thought someone was destroying our solar chargers on our feeders till we saw 2 coons up there at night hanging on the armor flex. During the day squirrels would shimmy up the poles and lay on the feeder getting more corn out. The squirrels would also open the battery compartment on the feeder and chew on the wiring and pull the battery out the also can unscrew wing nuts from batteries. We found this out by placing two game cameras at the feeder. We installed tack strips and pole deflectors which didn't help. So far the only thing that is working is to keep the feeder poles greased up with axle grease once a month. just my 2cents

Night vision only sees the IR flash while the camera is taking a pic, it's not constant on any I've seen and would eat batteries like crazy I would think. That someone is going to go through the effort and expense to even do this sounds odd to me. I'm guessing hogs are tearing your stuff up.

I thought it might be coons too. Dont have squirrels. But all 4 screws to screw in the varmint cage are gone. One set of nut/bolt/washer to bolt the timer to the brackets was missing. The clips for the solar chargers have been pulled off, not chewed off like a coon would do. Cameras have been turned around 180 degrees. I know cows/wildlife can bump cameras but you would think there would at least be a super close up pic of whatever bumped the camera. I appreciate your input! I'm fixing to put out an all out assault on coons to see if theyre the problem though!

Axle grease. Not a bad idea.

I watched a big hog raise up and bump the bottom of my varmint cage to shake out some corn. He didn't get to do it very long.

In the drone world, thermal cameras are far more common than IR, as IR would usually be a pretty specific device, not commonly mountable on consumer type drones.

All that is to say, I doubt the drone is being used to ID your camera locations.
