Ive fried whole turkeys before, but has anyone fried like a turkey breast(skin on boneless, just a 1/2 turkey breast cut off) or a leg/thy quarter?

I have a free turkey from work and dont want to bake a whole turkey for just us. In the past i have brined and baked a breast and made soup out of the leg/thy and grilled or fried the wings like huge chicken wings. I was thinking of frying the breast this time as it will fit in my little fryer, but didnt know how it would work out being just a breast and not the whole turkey.

Thanks for any info

It doesnt come out as good.. The breast bone protects the exposed meat from getting too crispy.you will have about a quarter inch of brown freyed meat...I figured the reason is it takes so long for the internal meat to get to temp... ...I switched back to bone in breast and it came out just like doing the whole turkey...

Cut out and freeze the breast with bone to be smoked, butcher the other parts and fry them.

I think ill do this and fry the breast intact on the bone.

That's what I would do too. Every once in a while I'll fry turkey legs & wings real crispy, then toss in hot wing sauce. I've never done the whole breast like that though.

Find a guy frying turkeys and ask him to cook yours last when the grease is properly seasoned. It’ll be good.
