What is the best/longest lasting 6v battery for a feeder? Feeders not throwing corn very far. Could it be low power or something else? We have oiled the shaft. Thank you.
Why don't we have time to do things right the first time, but always have time to do things over, and over, and over?

Maybe??? The feeder has a 12v motor not a 6v. Even if a 6v, a 12v will work and not damage it. I have used 12v batteries for years with a 6v feeder motor.

As DLALLDER stated you may be able to use a 12V battery for your feeder/s. Any fully charged 6V or 12V AGM battery should work all season even without a solar charger. You can find 12V AGM batteries that a more compact than the more common 12V size. Lots of sellers on the internet if you google it. The square 6V spring top batteries aren't wort spit unless you have solar charger hooked up. The are basically 4 "D" cells in series in a plastic box.

I get good results using a Power Sonic 6 volt 9 amp battery. Usually can go 3-4 months between charges.

I have that problem with one feeder but it is not the battery. My motor is working but it is old and does not throw corn far. Put same battery on another feeder and it works fine.

Get a rechargeable one and buy the solar panel I have for sale. I have had batteries in the past last for several seasons.

If your close to Paris I have a 6 volt battery and a charger you can have, both have never been used. Battery probably needs charged tho.
