What do y’all have more success with? Calls/rattling, attractants, or a combination of both?
I know it largely depends on time of the year, stage of the rut, etc. but what do you rely on when you know the deer are around, and they just refuse to get close enough?

Calls when they are close.

Rattling is the best of the three for me

I use attractants and have stopped deer with a grunt but my rattling needs major improvement.

I use scents in a major way..used right I see bigger bucks and more of them. However, calls come in when all is quite and will positively bring in bucks and bigger bucks and does. you just have to have confidence and patience. Read up on grunt calls and if you can get hunters to tell ya their secrets using scents and calls.
