I prefer either butter or honey on my cornbread, but I have been known to stack vanilla wafers or Oreos in a glass!!!

Graham crackers in milk is my favorite....my grandmother got me hooked as a very small child.

Cornbread, honey, and milk is a close second..

My dad made/forced me eat this when I was 5-6 years old because he liked it. I did not and still do not like milk at all and though it was nasty.

It’s actually just regular whole milk, he called it sweet milk I guess, cause it wasn’t buttermilk.

Yeah, we grew up calling whole milk “sweet milk”.

Do y’all know that Braum’s milk has sugar in it.

My dad loves this. I remember him fixing it all the time. I haven't had any, since I was about 14. Many years ago. Thanks for posting, really brought back memories.

Reminds me of how my family eats strawberry shortcake. Fresh shortbread, buttered, add as much sugar as you like, macerated strawberries and milk. I don't know anyone else who eats it that way but it is the only way I will eat strawberry shortcake. When I was a kid we would eat it for dinner, and that is why I am a thick boy haha! grin

Yep had it many times growing up in Mississippi with both buttermilk and regular whole milk.

Oh man. Me and my Granddad would have a glass of that every night when I stayed with them. In a frozen mug. If you have never had it with real milk, milk he had gotten from the cow that morning, oh man. And if you really want to kick it up, fix it with buttermilk. Good Lord it must be a sin. Ha.
