We were riding around filling feeders Sunday before we came home. This coyote got up and just loped away looking back at us.
Shorts are the new opening weekend hunting gear for the 12 and under crowd. It was a fun opening weekend although the deer didn’t cooperate. We saw one deer and killed one deer.

Nice Bobcat t-shirt, my oldest grandson played there a few years ago.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

My wife doesn’t care for the bibs. That’s all I wear when I’m not at work. They are way too comfortable and should be required when you get over the 260lb mark. My dads father was a feed salesman and wore starched overalls every day with a white long sleeve shirt. I adopted this dress code for a few weeks after having gut surgery last year but decided to go back to the boots and jeans for work.

I’ve tried to trade my buddy out of that 94 for over 25 years. It doesn’t miss. My best shot ever was with that rifle. I rolled a coyote at 175 at a full run with the second shot (LUCK}, when we were in high school with three witnesses. He won’t trade. It was his dads. He usually does the driving and I do the shooting. I don’t know how many deer and hogs I’ve put down with that rifle either. I do know my eyes aren’t what they used to be, I have to concentrate on the front bead hard these days instead of just throwing it up like a shotgun and shooting. My driving around gun is a 336 and I may have to break down and put a scope on it. That’s something I consider sacrilegious on a lever gun.
