Very nice! One of our hunters had his 8 yr. old with his birthday rifle out this past weekend. Saturday evening, he dropped a nice 6 point cull buck with his JM stamped 30-30 that dad found at pawn shop. Federal 170 grain Power Shok dropped it in its tracks. His birthday was Sunday so he literally got a nice buck with his birthday present from dad on the eve of his 9th birthday.

Anyways, great memories for you and your son. And yes, get him hooked on dropping the porkers please!

What a great moment for both of you! Congratulations!

Congrats to you both. I've got the last of my three excited to hopefully shoot his first this year and I know the feeling you're talking about.
