What do y’all use for a tripod for kids shooting and hunting. Something that will help them with holding the rifle steady

I use collapsible shooting sticks but there are many choices of different designs out there and im sure others will chime in. Mine are very lightweight and easy to carry on your belt at all times.

My son uses the Caldwell field pod. He’s killed 3 deer with it. Does a good job holding the rifle steady.

Is that just the upper section or includes the tripod also?

My son uses the Caldwell field pod. He’s killed 3 deer with it. Does a good job holding the rifle steady. I liked mine but the regular was too small. If you buy one, I'd suggest the middle one, the Max (not the magnum). That way it will fit everybody. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1020678871?pid=869039

Is that just the upper section or includes the tripod also? I bought it all together in one package but looks like separate on website. I think I got it at academy.. has killed lots of stuff...

Not sure how young the kids are...but the sooner they can learn to use a sling for support the better. It will be awkward at first until they find that right adjustment that works for them, but once they do it becomes natural and progresses to a better overall understanding of good shooting positions. IMO
