Just curious if the ammo shortage has created any impact on your hunting activities or those of anyone you know. For example, have you chosen a given rifle because you had more ammo for it than others you own? Have you helped out a fellow hunter by giving him/her some ammo after they could not find any? Also, I have to believe the shortage has impacted hunting-related gun sales since who wants a gun if they can't get any ammo for it.

Again, just curious.

One shot, one kill!
I own several and have ammo for each, just not tons, but enough, and I don't shoot like I used to either.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Definitely put a damper on my reloading. I'm currently working up load development for a 300 WIN Mag and need primers. Fortunately I have always kept enough on hand for what I have already established.

From the looks of reloading supplies at retailers, it looks to me like many people are supplementing their ammo supply by making their own.

Powder, primers, and some bullets are scarce!!!

My deer rifles always have ammo. I may shoot each one once a year 5 times max. I have ammo from the early 90's that hasn't been touched and some that are only missing a few rounds. I buy more sharp sticks than anything lately.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Nope. When it got tight last time I bought all the 6.8 Fed Fusion I could find, so the pig/truck gun has plenty. For the 6.5 CM I ordered 100 from Chad and am just now halfway through it. I did run out of .308 but scored a box of Precision Hunter from PSA last week. I paid a pretty penny for it but I only shoot 5-10 rounds a year from that gun.

It won't affect my hunting because I load my own and have at least some factory ammo for all of my "deer rifles" as a backup. It very well may slow my overall shooting down if I can't find the powder and components I need, but I'm good for hunting for the foreseeable future.
