Went on a dream hunt of mine and what an awesome time. Totally different than what Im use to with sand dunes everywhere and glassing non stop. What an awesome trip I will never forget and hope to get to do it again! [Linked Image]

Thanks guys I had to lay on top of a sand dune and watch him at 200 yards for about an hour and a half... that was a torture test

Dandy mule deer!

Great buck, congrats. Im curious why you had to wait to shoot when he was 200 yards. Nothing wrong at all with knowing your limitations on a comfortable distance but just curious if there was more to the story than the distance.

We got about 350 yards from him and he bedded up between two sage bushes so we stalked to the top of a sand dune at 200 and all we could see was his head. The when he stood up after that long wait he had to take like three steps before I got a clear shot on him.
