American Hunter is now owned by GSM Outdoors. Had a new American Hunter Feeder quit after one use during Turkey Season. Called the 877 269 8490 provided for Warranty Issues. The Customer Service Rep said no problem and provided a RA # to return the feeder for Repair or Replacement. I followed her instructions and paid to mail the feeder back to them. After more than 30days, I called them and was told that the feeder was there but had never been "logged" in. The sincere Customer Service Rep said she would check into it and get back to me within a week. After two weeks, I called back and was put on hold due to a"high volume of calls". After an hour of being put on hold, I heard a click and knew the call had been dropped. So, after waiting a few minutes, I called using my wife's phone. Almost immediately, the same sincere Customer Service Rep came on line. When I told her who I was, she wanted to know if I had used a different phone to call her and I said "Yes". She then proceeded to tell me the Feeder was in the Warehouse, a separate building from hers, but they had been too busy to "log" it in yet but give her a week and to call back. Anybody want to guess what is going to happen when I call back next week????

I Need to keep that in mind. BTW, I understand that they were recently sold.

You are a patient man. You were way too nice to that sweet-talking LIAR. I would have blown at the different phone question. Proof positive they're spending more energy avoiding the trainwreck that's obviously their company, than actually digging in and fixing things and maybe survive.
Sounds like some taxidermists' runaround.

I went through this kind of run-around with a furniture company. If you bought it directly from them with a credit card, it may be time to call the card company and ask them to cancel the charge. Otherwise, I have a feeling you are going to be in for a long, stressful wait
Thanks, Rich

I like their fish feeders. They are the best I've found.

GSM owns many different outdoor companies under their umbrella. Some of it is great stuff, but their customer service is terrible. American Hunter is just one of their brands.... https://www.gsmoutdoors.com/

American Hunter was quality stuff back when they were small, and still located in Mesquite. i ran one of their feeders for many years before the cows tore it up beyond repair. I wouldn't touch any of their built products now, built as cheaply as they can be since they sold out and moved. I have gone back to building my own feeders now and they not only work religiously, they actually throw better than any of the many other brands on our property. If you want it done right, do it yourself. At least then you only have yourself to blame if something goes wrong.
