I posted this over in photos back when she shot him in October but I figured since I didn’t shoot a buck on opening day in East Texas I’ll post hers over here. I took her out to my friends ranch that I work on and in exchange we get to hunt (Uvalde Co). She has never been the one behind the trigger while hunting and she was finally ready to shoot her first deer! We had this awesome big old 8 come out and watched him for 30 mins before he gave us a broad side shot. She got a perfect heart &lunch shot at 115 yards and he only went 10 yards. We where both in shock she got. Such an amazing buck as her first deer. ( we where hunting an area where we haven’t been running a camera or feeder so we had no clue this guy existed) I’m super proud of her and a little jealous. Good for her, that's a really nice first one.  If I remember correctly she caught the biggest fish also.
