Nice buck, but he's not going to make 13 inside.

He's about 13.5 to 14 inches wide. He's old enough to have average 16 inch tip to tip alert ears.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Hah! Yea, time and date are incorrect at the bottom of the picture.

Very hard to say. I think he's a mature deer with big ears, but he's not outside his ears. FWIW I think that deer is mature and is probably as big as he's going to get, and he's a good deer. This is where the AR restrictions are just doing rough justice and should probably not be applicable (but legally I'm sure they still are).

I'm extremely bored so here you go. Assuming that's a standard t-post I've done some measuring. 12" inside is what I came up with and that's not taking into account the t-post being further back than the antlers.

Would only work if he had his head next to or resting on t-post-. Depth perception will cause you to be off

IMO he's between 12" and 13.5". However, two/thirds of that will get you in trouble, and I believe he's going to fall in the 2/3. Shoot a doe!

If I only knew how many inches the paint white on a T-post, I could tell you. But I don't.

When in doubt, err in favor of the animal and ranch and let it walk.

He is very close but not going to make it legally IMO.

I loaded this picture into a CAD program and set the measurement of his ears tip to tip at 15" as there is no way his ear tips are 16" with them at this position.
A big south texas WT buck's ears are 17" held straight out on average and 15" or so at this angle he's holding them.
This setting make his ears 6.5" from the base to the tip which is also about dead on.

This makes him 12.5" inside but I honestly do not think his ear tips are 15" in this pic and more like 14-14.5" and he is closer to 12" Inside

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!
