The legs look short and stubby, so I am going with a fat coon or possibly a jackrabbit. Giant Jack Rabbit ?
Small Kangaroo ? Never seen a jackrabbit here on my place or seen one anywhere close to here.

My first though was a coon but the more I look at it the more confusing it gets.

I don't think the coyote is carrying anything. It just looks like 'something' in front of the coyote giving that appearance. Can't see the coyotes muzzle at all and it would be an extremely odd angle for a Yote to grab something by its side. A Coyotes muzzle/mouth just isn't built for that. They would more likely clamp down over the top and the object/thing would be 'hanging' from the mouth.
But that's just my thought.

I posted above that I have an idea what it is the coyote is carrying. You guys are not thinking about what this could be the coyote is carrying.

Looks like a pig, but if it is, either part of the carcass we don't see is missing or that is one strong yote.

I knew I left my jacket somewhere.
Looks like another yote giving him the "go ahead".

What is this coyote carrying? Sorry about the low quality of the pic but with these drastic temperature changes has the cam lens covers are all fogging up overnight. Plus it has been low fog the last 2 mornings also. This coyote is semi-regular after dark at this bowblind. I think it's another yote standing in front with it's tail tucked and head down.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

Tend to agree its a second yote standing there and he isn't carrying anything. If it is carrying something I'll guess turkey or some other large bird. Only thing I can think of that is that bulky and light.

Like I said I have an idea what it is in the coyotes mouth. There are 3 things it could be...one is I did kill a turkey with my bow over the weekend. It was breasted out and the leg quarters removed but it was left about 1/2 mile in the direction the coyote was going to in this pic. It would have been eaten quickly since I cleaned it near a water trough about 4 days ago. I caught a coon in a trap and shot it, then dumped it Tuesday morning about 200 yards from where this coyote is walking in and the direction he would have been walking from where the coon was dumped.. So knowing how dry it is and as many hogs/coons/coyotes I have dumped in that location the odds of it being the coon skin and/bones is not likely 2 days later. The birds were on it that afternoon already. The third is what I am thinking it is...I shot a doe on Tuesday morning. Skinned and quartered her..then hauled the skin and 4 lower leg bones closer to where this coyote is heading from...less than 100 yards. I hauled the skin and legs off at about 4:30 that same day and saw the vultures/cara cara on the coon carcass. So I am sure this is the folded up skin off that doe...no head or legs were attached to it when I dumped it that evening. The head went with me to town and the processor. So the coyote must not have found it till that night of the pic. The shape and hair coat fits the deer skin. It also was folded up in a bag most of the day when I hauled it off later that evening. It would have laid on the ground in very tall grass and was folded up for over a day. The last doe I killed a week before took the coyotes 2 days to find the hide.
