I haven't seen this thread yet this year, so I figured I'd start it. What else am I gonna do, work? roflmao

I'm in charge of dinner Saturday, so I'm doing a wagyu brisket, wagyu links, hot loaded roasted potato salad, mac & cheese, gouda and chipotle corn bread, and blue berry blue cheese salad.

I have been on our lease for 20 years give or take a year or two. The elder member who is no longer with us used to bring his wife's home made goulash every year for opening day dinner. I ran into her at a funeral last year and commented on how much I missed her goulash opening weekend as it used to be a tradition and we really enjoyed it. I found out yesterday she will be making it for us to take to the lease this year, just like old times. Other than that, I will be making bacon wrapped Sambar Deer cooked on a mesquite fire.

Nah, I volunteered. I recently acquired a big green egg for the ranch, so I want to break it in properly.

Wow wow wow! That sounds like an awesome meal, and guaranteed left-overs for the noon lunch the next day.

Too much, but they sure are good. A good friend and client of mine sales wagyu, so I try to send him business periodically.

No, nothing that crazy. I paid $160 for this one. Check out RC Ranch if you're interested. They have great products and ship anywhere.

You can't afford it if you have to ask.

That, Sir, is baloney. I've known several very successful men, two of them in the upper eight digits. They ALWAYS ask "How much is it?" Only a fool would order something without inquiring about the cost.

I got a big bag of frozen burritos. I'm kind of a big spender so I didn't even ask the price.

Back in the day. Day two was pulled tenderloins on the fire pit. Especially if you take your venison to a processor. They sometimes take a little slice.

I’m eating a 6 pack with a side of Jack, everything else will work itself out eventually before the sun rises Saturday morning.

Saturday night is Prime Tomahawks

Love hotdogs. I keep them with the buns frozen in case I run. Out of sandwiches for lunch.

Yeah, I don't get that. What's the big deal with post count? Is it the 'My dog's bigger'n your dog' thing?

Tradition for us, first wknd landowner fixes Saturday night dinner, had rib eye steaks, baked tators. Salad and adult beverages. Second wknd is on us, usually shrimp and crab leg boil, but his wife wanted fajitas , so chicken and shrimp fajitas is what we will be fixing on the discota Saturday eve. Several hours of fellowship and shooting the breeze after both nights. What it’s all about. up
