I use vanilla wafers. But they will eat nearly anything. This and marsh mellows. Good thing about these baits is skunks don’t go for them.

Try Golden Marlin. Mix that with Big Red. Buy it at Tractor Supply That is illegal. Plus golden malron is a continual killer. It will kill anything that eats whatever ate it.

I will not stand for or tolerate poison of any kind in my feed pens. None, Zero. Coons will vomit up that stuff and die right there in your pen. The Golden Marlin will get spread everywhere - through the buzzards, through the coyotes and yes, the deer will absorb it also (through their feet). If you do not believe this and think it of little consequence, take some Golden Malrin, spread it on the floor and walk through it barefoot. Surely, that wouldn't constitute a problem. Deer should have not have to put up with poison at the place where they eat. That's a plain & simple right there. If you don't believe this (once again), then put a pile of Golden Malrin into a bowl and place it on your dinner table tonight when you consume supper.
I will say that due to this stance, other hunters on this property bought a Peta sign that, in part, says "Raccoons Need Friends Too". It's faded. but still on the gate of one of my pens.

I've always wondered why everyone thinks it is called "Golden Marlin" like the fish....its Golden Malrin, the "L" is before the "R". Everyone I've ever heard refer to this product has called it Marlin even the employees at retailers.

I never cared about raccoons eating some corn. I think they are interesting animals. Corn is cheap. I'd rather pout down a little extra than kill them.

Part of "predator control " for a wildlife valuation (property tax), plus, they're a verified quail nest raider, per TPWD.

If you only want to catch coons use Nilla Wafers. Then you only catch coons...ran a trap line for decades and thats the best there is for coon bait.

I found any cat food, sardines, or marsh mellows brings out the fire ants. Corn or protein have worked.

If I thought killing them would bring the quail population back, I would slaughter them. Quail hunting was the first hunting I was ever exposed too. I wish there were more one them now but I'm guessing fire ants and hogs are mostly what reduced their population. I kill all hogs and fire ants I find.
