What are the differences in the units, if any?

Yes, I know the Lexion is supposed to be for LE, but I want to know if there are any physical or interface differences in the units.

I asked my Rep and he replied:

So the Lexion is going to be very similar to the Helion models. The differences are listed below:
Lexion has a rubber objective lens cover vs plastic on Helion.
Lexion eyepiece is slightly larger and the entire eyepiece can rotate to adjust fine focus vs Helion having a the traditional rubber wing and smaller rotating focus knob.
Lexion has a 1pc housing and does not have the ability to interchange lens systems
Lexion objective lens focus ring is slightly larger w/ vertical ridges to make it easier to use while wearing gloves

Doug, thanks a ton, that is super helpful. I have a lead on a Lexion and I think I'm gonna get one, the XP50.

Appreciate your help!

The Helion 2 XP50 has a new improved imaging sensor (better image quality) and a larger video storage capacity. Do not buy the original Helion XP now unless it's a bargain. The Helion 2 XQ's have not begun production yet but they will have the new improved XQ 384 sensor in them but I wouldn't expect to see them very soon.

The Lexions do not have the new sensors in them. I wouldn't buy a Lexion if it was less than the $3,999 price of the Helion 2 XP50. There is 0 benefit for a hunter to have a Lexion. It's also going to be extremely difficult to resell compared to a Helion in the future because no one knows what it is. They are great units and if the price is right, I'd say go for it, just don't pay too much.

The Helion 2 has a sub 40mk sensor in it which is able to pick up smaller heat differences and have a much clearer image. The only Helion model still in production is the Helion 2 XP50, all other Helion’s are discontinued.
