My son was drawn for this hunt last week of December.... anyone been there? It’s a doe/spike hunt, but I’m hoping to get him on a axis or something. Do they have lots of exotics around? Being right outside Bandera I’d assume but have no idea...

I believe that there are plenty of deer out there but these deer are smallish in size. The axis deer are few and far between. You will be lucky to see an axis.

I hunted it a couple of years ago. Only saw pigs, but we were the last hunt of the season. They say they have exotics but none were seen during the hunt. Saw tons of deer and axis just a few miles down the road near Bandera.
