What is this coyote carrying? Sorry about the low quality of the pic but with these drastic temperature changes has the cam lens covers are all fogging up overnight. Plus it has been low fog the last 2 mornings also. This coyote is semi-regular after dark at this bowblind. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2020/11/full-21480-262684-00000134.jpg)

My first though was a coon but the more I look at it the more confusing it gets.

It's chunky so I'm going with badger.

Did your dog come when you called this morning? That's a mouth full for sure. He sure is carrying it high to be so big. Too fuzzy to tell. I notice there's no "property of STX Ranchman" on the pic.

Something amiss - looks too heavy to be carrying something so comfortably. A badger would be carrying the coyote.

Agreed. It’s too big an long not to be limp or bent in half. You messin with us Stx? Poor quality pics can really play tricks on eyes.

I'll go along with the coon guess as they are likely the most abundant prey that size. Those dang coyotes are stronger than they look. I watched one grab a 50+lb. lamb and run off with it like it was rabbit.

I will say that this is a larger than average coyote judging by the others I have gotten on TC pics over the past few months now. I have my thoughts as to what it could be. Did your dog come when you called this morning? That's a mouth full for sure. He sure is carrying it high to be so big. Too fuzzy to tell. I notice there's no "property of STX Ranchman" on the pic. It is my pic. My dog weighs a whopping 15 lbs..so it could be but not likely since my dog is in the house with me right now. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2020/11/full-21480-262689-img_4799_001.jpg)

Maybe a dried up road kill doe. Looks like 2 ears on right side of pic.

I don't think he/she is carrying anything. I suspect that's a second coyote dancing in front of her/him. The one in front is blurry because of movement.

The legs look short and stubby, so I am going with a fat coon or possibly a jackrabbit.
