Always wanting help with aging cause its a never ending learning process. Score is just fun. We killed a buck two years ago that appears to be related to this guy cause of similar antler configuration. The other deer just barely had G4s and had a small kicker and scored 150. [Linked Image]

I'll go 4.5 yrs old and may be bumping 140 gross. It takes a very big 8 pt to make 140, and a 150 8pt is a giant. My buddy killed a 152" main frame 8 a few yrs ago and it was enormous.

Take the head off and he looks a solid 4. Add the face and antlers and he pushes another year.
Score wise, he has good length. He will hold decent mass. I am at 17” inside and 20-21” mains. Mass will be around 11-12 each side. That’s 72-73 down. I get around 53 up, 13” g2, 9” g3, 5/4” g1.
That gives mid 20’s as an 8pt. Seems low. What am I doing wrong?

You need to recheck your math...17" + 40"-42" + 22"-24" is not 72-73"... more like 79" to 83". I think he has more like 25"-27" on mass and a bit longer beams...22"-23".

Appreciate you checking my math, not my strong suit anymore and I used to be really good at it. Too much garbage in my brain clogging up the calculator. Of course I could pull out my iPhone and use an actual calculator, but then I wouldn’t be the butt of jokes on the forum....as if that was the only reason clap

This is my thread so Im not going to taint your age estimates by guessing so keep them coming. Trying to help the guys make decisions on these before the season starts. I will say on score mid 130s on this guy.
