Here's another topic to throw around for discussion in an effort to make these last few days and hours go by a little faster.
I once hunted with a guy who enjoyed wearing his dad's old hunting coat. With his dad having passed of cancer while only in his 50's, I'm sure that old coat gave him some measure of comfort when he would otherwise be sharing the deer woods with his father.
Because my dad would have rather watched the grass grow than spend time in a deer stand, everything that I take to the woods with me are things that I purchased myself. Still, it's the general do-it-yourself skills that my dad taught me that often comes in handy both before and during my time in the field.

I still use a Golden Spike knife that my Grandfather gave me about 40 years ago, when I am skinning and quartering out my deer. Doesn't look quite that good anymore...lol
