Well me & my brother & my nephew went opening weekend. We hunted Saturday and Sunday and half day on Monday. We jumped 2 coveys on Saturday and 2 on Sunday and 1 on Monday. Two of the coveys was about 20 to 25 birds while the other 3 were about 10 to 15. Had some good points and good dead bird finds. It was nice in the morning with 40'ish percent humidity. Started warming up around 10:30AM so we would break till 4PM'ish then hit it again. You got to lay some leather down to find birds. I've seen alot better times but it's definitely not as bad as last year. Total birds taken was 14 and 3 dove (yes we had chokes in.)

Sounds good to me.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Huge prescribed fire area in the NW area. Definitely a "Chip Size" burn.

Bunch of new grubbing along the river...I think it would be in North Middle

They increased the cattle numbers on the eastern side, so the grass\weeds are down more like we like to see, but the shinnery oak is getting out of control over there...time for Chip to get his lighter out.

For the first time in years, the gate is open, so you can drive from the Entrance Pasture all the way north into OX. New windmill between Suitecase and OX on the east bourder.

We all need to practice Whoa more.
