Ok, here we go. Ive got lots lots of age/score if I get time and if yall want to see them. This is NW TX and the field dressed weights are usually around 140 150. Rut is mid to late Nov. Generally the bucks are pretty fat but no protein. The age is more important but the scoring is more fun. Some of these pics are decent quality from hand held cam but they dont really show the best angles. This guy and several more that I may post are all alive and kicking and aging is hard enough that Im looking for all the help I can get to help the guys decide what is old enough. We want them to be at least 5.

Hard one to age with his head down in every pic...aging deer with their head down is not easy for me. I do see calloused knees and that is a sign of a matur to post mature deer to me. His face features are that of a post mature deer. Just need a pic with his head up and broadside. Score wise I would say mid 140's

5.5, maybe even 6.5
Hard to tell with his head down like that but he has an older face and definitely a 5.5 year old chest/neck.

score guess would be mid 40s
Need some pics with his head up at different angles to judge tine and beam lengths more accurately.

Really pretty buck!

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Age wise I Would say easily 4, might be pushing 5. Hard to
Tell as has been mentioned above.
My rough score is quite a bit lower than above, high 120’s. I don’t see the mass or length to
Go into the 40’s. But I am not good at scoring deer

I’ve never looked for calloused knees, interesting! He’s got lots of tine length, but no mass or at least 24” main beams. Looks like 16” width also. I’ll go 130”.

Tine length(on average) is 40% of the final score on a buck. MB are 30%, mass is 20% and spread is only 10%. Those all move up and down a little but that is an average. He has around 60" more or less on tine length with those extras...so with only 85" more or less on MB, mass and spread he is in the 140's. He has enough of those 3 measurements to make or close to that down frame score.

that is one of the first things we look for on our ranch - calloused knees - then we look at head, chest, and back - if we are lucky enough to get good video of them walking then that is usually the clincher - 6-8 year old bucks typically walk like old men (like me) walk - stiff legged. The other factor with video is how other deer around him act - I have watched video of bucks at the protein feeder who leave immediately when a mature, dominant buck jumps into the pen - the youngsters get the heck out of town

You can't fix stupid

Lots of interesting comments on his age. Its been helpful. I think this guy is right at 140.
I appreciate yalls comments. I have a whole lot more Age/Score I can put on here but I hate to put more than yall want. Im trying to spread them out some but at the same time Im hoping to get some feedback in time for the weekend. We do this same age/score thing within our large community of hunters on the lease but I always feel that a lot of the guys will follow the lead of just a few of our guys. I think the same thing can happen on here but im just trying to get all the opinions I can. Its also a lot about learning what others look for, whether their estimates are right or not. I thought I was decent at aging until I got on this forum and I have probably doubled the number of things I look for now.

Allowing 88" down on him, he will be 143-144.
He will break 140 unless his frame has less than 85"
